Benefits:
- Especially dedicated for the cleaning of polycarbonate
- Concentrated: low consumption - economical
- No smell during application
- No contamination of the following parts
- Removes residues and encrustations
- Suitable for hotrunner systems
- No generation of milky traces
Lusin® Clean 1500 is a high concentrated purging compound that is specially developed for the processing of polycarbonate. The compound consists of high grade plastics with high efficient cleaning additives and doesn't contain any abrasives. The product is completely miscible with polycarbonate and doesn't generate any milky traces.. Lusin® Clean 1500 can be used at processing temperatures up to 350°C.
Application:
Lusin® Clean 1500 is suitable for colour and material change as well as for removal of black spot contaminations and carbon residues especially on transparent parts.
We recommend the following cleaning procedure::
1. Prepare a mixture of PC containing 25% of Lusin Clean 1500 (see dosing table)
2. Empty cylinder
3. Fill the mixture into the hopper
4. Fill the cylinder with the plasticized mixture. Stop the screw for 3 - 5 minutes in case of strong and resistant contaminations.
5. Purge the cleaning mixture or in case of cleaning the hotrunner system inject into the mould
6. Refill cylinder with new material
7. Restart production
In case of changing from polycarbonate to other resins like ABS, PP or PA the processing temperatures should be adjusted to the new material after the purge was performed. On restart of the following material the processing temperatures should not be below 250°C.
