Hyflon AD 40H is an amorphous perfluoropolymer that can be supplied in powder form. The properties of Hyflon AD polymer are similar to semi-crystalline perfluoropolymers, showing high temperature stability, excellent hydrophobicity and chemical resistance, and very low surface energy.
Hyflon AD polymer is characterized by its solubility in selected solvents. Especially in perfluorinated solvents, it has the characteristics of high solubility and low solution viscosity, and is suitable for solution processing technology.
It is possible to obtain a uniform Hyflon AD film or coating (if necessary, the thickness can be as low as sub-micron level) under conditions far lower than the baking temperature of conventional semi-crystalline perfluoropolymer by casting or coating technology and heat treatment.
Typical uses include protective coatings, interlayer insulating films and electronic films
The main characteristics of Hyflon AD 40H include:
- amorphous glassy polymer structure
- can be dissolved in perfluorinated solvent
- low dielectric constant, 2.0/kilohertz
-excellent optical performance
-high UV transmittance
