Description
Lusin® Clean G 410 is a granular ready-to-use purging compound for the screws, cylinders and nozzles of thermoplastic injection moulding machines. It is based on high-grade plastics with additives and contains no abrasives.
Lusin® Clean G 410 can be used at operating temperatures in the range between 250°C/482°F and 410°C/770°F and is suitable for cleaning hot runners, particularly with external heaters.
Application Instructions
Applied at the correct operating temperature, Lusin® Clean G 410 removes residues and encrustations on screws, cylinders and nozzles. Cleaning with this product during color change results immediately in clean parts and reduces scrap. The processing procedure is as follows:
1. The required quantity of purging compound can be found in the Dosage Table.
2. Empty cylinder.
3. Fill hopper with Lusin® Clean G 410. Cleaning temperature should be set at the previous materials processing temperature.
4. To minimize odor, use low backpressure to inject the purging compound. To facilitate rapid cooling of the emerging material, it is recommended material be fed into a water bath.
5. Fill new plastic material into hopper. Set new processing temperature. Inject the rest of the purging compound and start normal production
Storage/Handling
Lusin® Clean G 410 has a shelf life of two (2) years and should be stored its in original sealed packing in a dry indoor area. For further information on storage, handling, hazards, please request a copy of Chem-Trend's Material Safety Data Sheet.
