Plyophen 23057 is a liquid one-step phenolic resin in ethanol.
Plyophen 23057 is a polyamide modified phenolic resin which was developed especially for use with glass cloth to produce laminates which will have an increased degree of burn-through resistance, and is suggested for those applications requiring improved physical properties on short exposure to temperatures above 600°F.
The data given below is based on the use of glass cloth impregnated with this resin. However, certain modifications can be incorporated, such as the use of certain fillers, which may prove beneficial in certain cases. Fillers such as aluminum phosphate, graphite and others, may be incorporated with the resin in amounts up to 10% or more and in some cases beneficial results will be obtained, especially when the temperature of exposure goes to a fairly high temperature where some of the fillers may become reactive with the glass.
