Extir® EH 3000

Extir EH 3000 is an expandable polystyrene in the form of spherical beads of medium particle size, with a low pentane content as blowing agent. Extir does not contain CFC or HCFC. Extir EH 3000 is used for the very fast cycle production of shape mouldings and block moulding with a medium to very high density. It is also characterised by very short maturing time, even at very high density, excellent moulding processability, good fusion, good surface finishing and a very good dimensional stability.

Extir EH 3000 is a very fast cycling grade used for production of moulded items with wall sections greater than 8 mm and also of skin moulded articles. It can also be used for the production of medium / high density blocks.
Finished products exhibit high fusion, high resistance to impact / mechanical stress, and an outstanding dimensional stability. Extir EH 3000 is suitable for the production of food packaging and for food contact applications.

Typical applications are:

• internal shells for motorcycle and bicycle crash helmets

• containers and loaders for automated manufacturing in the electronics sector

• returnable packaging and pallets

• medium-high density blocks for thermal insulation
